This year Eastern Market Pottery is hosting an activation site! We invite you to our community Sobremesa, a table to linger over where stories, memories, and recipes are shared by decorating handmade dinnerware pieces made by the members of Eastern Market Pottery. This table is for everyone. Share a family recipe, a memory connected to food, something that brought you here today, a hope for the future, or a message you’d like to pass on. The pieces on this table will be glazed and fired to preserve the marks left behind by everyone who participated. Together, they will become a portrait of our community that is true to who we are– richly diverse, full of life and stories to tell.

The Pottery Jam is back! Co-hosted by Eastern Market Pottery and District Clay Center, this lively celebration brings together the DMV’s vibrant ceramic community, featuring guest artists from Pottery on the Hill. It is a rare chance to watch master potters working side-by-side in a fully interactive setting. Whether you want to participate, observe the masters at work, chat with fellow clay enthusiasts, or discover a clay studio in your neighborhood, everyone is welcome. Come enjoy incredible clay artistry, music, food, and drinks! This event is free, pre-registration is requested, on-site registration will be available.
